greenclaydog 6 Posted ... I am attempting to create a hotspot on my laptop to share my VPN connection to other devices. However when i attempt to connect to the new hotspot the devices get a no internet error, and when i went into the ipconfig it could not find dns servers and windows troubleshooter claimed that the ip configuration was wrong. Now i cannot even host my naked connection because of what happened, when i tried to share my VPN connection it must have broken something and i have no idea what it might be. The AirVPN connection itself is fine, nothing weird in the logs or anything; i have network lock enabled with local traffic allowed in the settings and i am using the 2.11.8 beta. Does anyone know how i might be able to fix this? My hotspot software is mypublicwifi, however i have had the same results using non freeware such as connectify Quote Share this post Link to post
Khariz 109 Posted ... Disable network lock and then go into your regular (non-TAP) adapter, reset the adapter to a standard configuration and make sure everything is set to auto (like acquiring IP and DNS). Should work fine. It's probably just something in the firewall rules from the Network Lock not resetting. Might want to disable Network Lock, then restart, then clear out the adapter, and try again. LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! In addition to above, you can also try to reset your firewall. 1 Khariz reacted to this Quote Hide LZ1's signature Hide all signatures Hi there, are you new to AirVPN?
