Reso 19 Posted ... Hi all, I'm using the OpenVPN app on Android. If I go to https://ipleak.net my ISP's DNS servers are showing up. Any ideas how to stop the leak? Thanks in advance. Sent using Tapatalk Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! Stop the WebRTC leaks perhaps? If that's the cause. Scroll to the bottom of ipleak. You may also use browser plugins like Ublock Origin. It looks like as you suggested a WebRTC leak. I was using what is called "Free Adbocker browser" on my tablet. It's based on Chrome. Anyway you can't use plugins with it (or the Android version of Chrome). So I downloaded Firefox and there are no leaks when using that. Best of all the mobile version of Firefox lets you install add-ons, so I'm still ad free using Adblock Plus. All the best. Sent using Tapatalk Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... No worries . I can recommend that you check out Ublock Origin, if you want something perhaps more powerful. Or Adblock Edge (they block everything). The deal being that Adblock Plus perhaps colludes with the advertisers and/or allows *some* "non-intrusive" advertising - which isn't to everyones liking. Anyway, you can find all the help you need online, if it's relevant. Free adblock browser sure does sound shady lol. Reso 19 Posted ... Yes Adblock Plus does let some non-intrusive ads through by default. There is an option to block everything though, which I have taken. You're right the Free Adblock Browser does sound a bit shady, but has a decent rating on Google Play store, that doesn't necessarily make it secure though I guess. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hsv.freeadblockerbrowser&hl=en Quote Share this post Link to post
