Is Linux client development dead ?

Hello, 

 

I use AirVpn on Linux Mint 17.3. It seems to work fine but the client is getting old (2.10) and doesn't follow the latest development like for the windows version or even the Linux Ubuntu/Debian. I don't know if it still works in 16.04 or higher. Does the team has a plan to modernize it a bit ? There is a lot more Linux users now as it make more sense to use Linux for privacy in the first place. Windows 10 is a disaster in that area.
