configuration system failed to initialize

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm having an issue with the client.  When I load it now it says 'configuration system failed to initialize' and all the settings in preferences are blank.  I've tried reinstalling, but I'm not sure how to do a full clean install, when uninstall/reinstall it's the same issue.   I'm using the latest version,  when I try to connect it says 'specify a host in the proxy settings' -  I really don't know what settings to add, if that's the issue.

I'm using windows xp - and just added service pack 4, though it was working just after doing that, but not now.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Hello!

Have you considered updating your OS?

Maybe you could try this.

As Air Staff also said however: "However this event once more shows that Windows XP should no more be used when security is a priority. It is an abandoned system. It seems somehow contradictory to use AirVPN services while at the same time running Windows XP..."

Or this, if it applies to you.

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.
