How can I update eddie 2.8.8 and whats best settings

I noticed Im still on version 2.8.8 on Eddie.

How do I update Eddie to latest version?

and what is latest versions?

 

Also how would I set up Eddie to get maximum security if using p2p??

Even though you call yourself a "newbie", you can do a little bit of work yourself, can't you? At least look into the AirVPN Announcement forum from time to time, because one of the "hottest" threads currently is Eddie 2.11beta available. It even provides download links.

 

Upgrade: Just install it over the current version.

Just download Eddie from where you first downloaded it. Then you'll get version 2.10, which is the latest stable release. However if you're wanting the bleeding edge, you can try 2.11, the experimental version mentioned in the previous post. Just click "other versions", on the download page to find it.

 

As for security, enabling Network Lock goes a long way to helping you secure yourself. However you need to be smart, as Eddie won't protect you from stupidity sadly . I also recommend using a good P2P client such as qBittorent.
