ANSWERED Internet connection problem after quitting airVPN

Recommended Posts

Hi

is there someone who had a problem connecting to internet after quitting airVPN?

I am on Windowz Vista and, since yesterday, when I quit the connection with airVPN I cannot connect to internet anymore.

Network and sharing center shows me that my network is "Local only" (?!).

Dignostic and repair does not help much.

Is not that I am not happy to use airVPN constantly but I have a bond free spirit ;o))

Thanks for your help

Did you enable Network Lock?

Check your DNS server address in the main network adapter as well, it should usually be your router/ISP IP.

P.S.

Vista is the most horrible OS you can use, and its support was ended by Microsoft in 2012.

Hello !

How did you "quit" AirVPN? Did you click "Exit" in the menus or did you just shut down your computer? The Eddie client has had issues with handling things sometimes, if it's not shut down correctly.

You can try going to your network connection settings, going to IPv4 and setting both the IPv4 and DNS fields to "Obtain Automatically" and then click "ok", on all adapters.

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.
Did you make a guide or how-to for something? Then contact me to get it listed in my new user guide's Guides Section, so that the community can find it more easily.

Thanks for your helps, I found the answer for this problem from another post.

Sometimes the answer is just under your nose but cannot be seen (fault also of the very poor search engine of this forum ;o))

I agree about windowz in general but Vista is the most stable system micro$oft has ever did.

Cannot use linux as I need applications running only on windowz and I wish use my money in a better way than buy another PC.
