danioj 1 Posted ... This is my first post on the forums, which really is a testament to how great the AirVPN Service is. Never had an issue. However, over the past few days I have noticed that I am beginning to get Google notices when I perform a search. The one below is when I was search the syfy show 12 Monkeys: About this pageOur systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot. Why did this happen?IP address: 213.152.161.170Time: 2016-08-06T11:30:04ZURL: https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=12+monkes&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 In addition, I also have noticed in my server logs that the daily access to Github to check for Software updates has failed for the past 5 days. I am connected to Alterf - Netherlands I am confident that there is noting going on, on my side. And to prove the point to myself I switched to a Singapore Server and the issues did not persist. I have switched back because I don't like the connection from the Singapore Server but it would be nice to have this looked into. I do wonder if this means another user on the network is being malicious (albeit probably unintentionally due to a virus/malware infection) or something else? Quote Share this post Link to post

This happens sometimes, the solution would be just using another server from the 160 available ones.Google never explains what "unusual traffic" means, so there is nothing much to fix. But they lift thoseblocks usually after a few hours/days, so it's entirely up to them. Another great search engine without such BS is called DuckDuckGo.com, you should try it. 1 LZ1 reacted to this Quote Hide zhang888's signature Hide all signatures Occasional moderator, sometimes BOFH. That makes sense now. Im familiar with DuckDuckGo but TBH I find their search results limiting in a way that Google's are not. I appreciate the tip though. Do you have an opinion as to why I can't access Github from the above mentioned server either? Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 675 Posted ... Hello! I'd like to ask you if you've tried using DDGs hashbang system, which is convenient. Such as if you type !yt you'll end up directly on youtube. Hehe. I recommend that you ask Github about it. Even if we did have an answer, it would be interesting to see what Github says and it might answer your question better than we can Sent to you from me with datalove Quote Hide LZ1's signature Hide all signatures Hi there, are you new to AirVPN? Many of your questions are already answered in this guide. You may also read the Eddie Android FAQ. Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you. Did you make a guide or how-to for something? Then contact me to get it listed in my new user guide's Guides Section, so that the community can find it more easily. Share this post Link to post
danioj 1 Posted ... Thanks for the responses. I approached Github but got no response. Not surprised TBH. My solution was to switch to another server and that "solved" the issue. Quote Share this post Link to post
