After connecting to airvpn, I am only able to browse sites that I've already connected to. New sites give a DNS failure, as seen in the topic.

Hello!

Are you trying to use googles DNS? If so, I'd be curious why and suggest that you use Airs. Make sure your IPv4 protocol settings are set to "Obtain automatically" in the IP and DNS fields

Sent to you from me with datalove

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.

I've tried every option on the DNS settings:

DNS Switch mode automatic/disabled

Check AirVPN DNS checked/unchecked

DNS servers blank/google

Every time, after about 5 minutes of everything working perfectly, suddenly I can't connect to new websites and get a DNS error.

same issues here when I disconnect to another server sometimes it works, I did notice the beta of eddie solves this issues but I prefer the old tap driver for torrent issues .

TAP drivers has basically nothing to do with DNS issues.

Also, note that the newest Eddie beta 2.11.3 includes the 9.21.2 driver that has that old speed bugs fixed, according to reports.

Please report your findings in a quote or open a separate thread.

Seems like your DNS settings are still incorrect.

Can you tell us which DNS servers your system is using, when you are connected to the VPN server, and

when your DNS query fails?

On Windows, you can do it using the following command:

nslookup -type=A google.de

On Windows, you can do it using the following command:

nslookup -type=A google.de

This is at first when everything is working as normal.

C:\Users\xxx>nslookup -type=A google.de

Server:  UnKnown
Address:  10.4.0.1

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    google.de
Address:  216.58.192.195

After about 10 minutes, trying to navigate to a new site fails.

The DNS returns the same.

C:\Users\xxx>nslookup -type=A google.de

Server:  UnKnown
Address:  10.4.0.1

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    google.de
Address:  216.58.192.195

All settings are default.

Still doesn't work. Connection lasts for a random amount of time, then only works on existing connections.

Fixed.

The issue had nothing to do with settings or AirVPN at all. It was my wireless network card: an ASUS PCE-AC68 802.11ac network adapter. One of the most expensive cards one could buy, though many complain about buggy drivers. Changing the driver to an alternative, specifically the 7.35.317.3 WHQL driver has completely fixed the issue.
