TheKingOfKevins 0 Posted ... Hi, Im using AirVPN for a couple of days now with no issues however this morning when i woke up it seems that non of my devices connected to the VPN will have no internet access. I restarted everything and came with the conclusion that when im not connected everything works fine but once im connected nothing (internet related) wont work, web browsing, emails etc etc. What is the issue here and how can in troubleshoot or fix it? Kind regards,Kevin Quote Share this post Link to post

I don't really know where to start troubleshooting on this one as the non-vpn'ed network is working fine.Rebooted all devices. Thanks for any help. Quote Share this post Link to post

Anyway it seems it doesn't fully connect can you provide me with a log of another device it doesn't work on for comparison, it'd help me eliminate solutions/problems Quote Share this post Link to post

Anyway it seems it doesn't fully connect can you provide me with a log of another device it doesn't work on for comparison, it'd help me eliminate solutions/problems here is a log from my freenas, Jul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30156]: OpenVPN 2.3.11 amd64-portbld-freebsd9.3 [sSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [MH] [iPv6] built on Jun 6 2016Jul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30156]: library versions: OpenSSL 0.9.8za-freebsd 5 Jun 2014, LZO 2.09Jul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: Control Channel Authentication: tls-auth using INLINE static key fileJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: Outgoing Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authenticationJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: Incoming Control Channel Authentication: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authenticationJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: Socket Buffers: R=[42080->42080] S=[9216->9216]Jul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: UDPv4 link local: [undef]Jul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: UDPv4 link remote: [AF_INET]109.232.227.148:443Jul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: TLS: Initial packet from [AF_INET]109.232.227.148:443, sid=e696b216 a9e0093aJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: VERIFY OK: depth=1, C=IT, ST=IT, L=Perugia, O=airvpn.org, CN=airvpn.org CA, emailAddress=info@airvpn.orgJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: Validating certificate key usageJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: ++ Certificate has key usage 00a0, expects 00a0Jul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: VERIFY KU OKJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: Validating certificate extended key usageJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: ++ Certificate has EKU (str) TLS Web Server Authentication, expects TLS Web Server AuthenticationJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: VERIFY EKU OKJul 16 04:39:38 openvpn[30157]: VERIFY OK: depth=0, C=IT, ST=IT, L=Perugia, O=airvpn.org, CN=server, emailAddress=info@airvpn.orgJul 16 04:39:39 openvpn[30157]: Data Channel Encrypt: Cipher 'AES-256-CBC' initialized with 256 bit keyJul 16 04:39:39 openvpn[30157]: Data Channel Encrypt: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authenticationJul 16 04:39:39 openvpn[30157]: Data Channel Decrypt: Cipher 'AES-256-CBC' initialized with 256 bit keyJul 16 04:39:39 openvpn[30157]: Data Channel Decrypt: Using 160 bit message hash 'SHA1' for HMAC authenticationJul 16 04:39:39 openvpn[30157]: Control Channel: TLSv1, cipher TLSv1/SSLv3 DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA, 4096 bit RSAJul 16 04:39:39 openvpn[30157]: [server] Peer Connection Initiated with [AF_INET]109.232.227.148:443Jul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: SENT CONTROL [server]: 'PUSH_REQUEST' (status=1)Jul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: PUSH: Received control message: 'PUSH_REPLY,redirect-gateway def1 bypass-dhcp,dhcp-option DNS 10.4.0.1,comp-lzo no,route-gateway 10.4.0.1,topology subnet,ping 10,ping-restart 60,ifconfig 10.4.77.232 255.255.0.0'Jul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: OPTIONS IMPORT: timers and/or timeouts modifiedJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: OPTIONS IMPORT: LZO parms modifiedJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: OPTIONS IMPORT: --ifconfig/up options modifiedJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: OPTIONS IMPORT: route options modifiedJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: OPTIONS IMPORT: route-related options modifiedJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: OPTIONS IMPORT: --ip-win32 and/or --dhcp-option options modifiedJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: ROUTE_GATEWAY 192.168.1.1Jul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: TUN/TAP device /dev/tun1 openedJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: do_ifconfig, tt->ipv6=0, tt->did_ifconfig_ipv6_setup=0Jul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: /sbin/ifconfig tun1 10.4.77.232 10.4.0.1 mtu 1500 netmask 255.255.0.0 upJul 16 04:39:41 openvpn[30157]: /sbin/route add -net 10.4.0.0 10.4.77.232 255.255.0.0Jul 16 04:39:46 openvpn[30157]: /sbin/route add -net 109.232.227.148 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.255Jul 16 04:39:46 openvpn[30157]: /sbin/route add -net 0.0.0.0 10.4.0.1 128.0.0.0Jul 16 04:39:46 openvpn[30157]: /sbin/route add -net 128.0.0.0 10.4.0.1 128.0.0.0Jul 16 04:39:46 openvpn[30157]: Initialization Sequence Completed I have an iphone as well but guess the log wouldnt be that different from the mac Jul 16 04:39:46 openvpn[30157]: Initialization Sequence Completed exact same thing happened there, which means the reason you don't have internet with VPN is because it ain't connected, try one of the SSH protocols or something, I'm afraid I don't quite know what the issue could be Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... Same here to.. i am not so technical man.Is there a interrupton?Hello ! That depends on which servers you're using. It's easily possible for some servers to have issues while all others remain problem-free.So for that reason, it's important you give us more information, such as: what server you're using, what OS and so forth. This is easily done bysharing your log files; which you can find the AirVPN Eddie Client program. Quote Hide LZ1's signature Hide all signatures Hi there, are you new to AirVPN? LZ1 672 Posted ... By the way, have any of you tried checking your IP and DNS settings? That they're set to "Obtain Automatically" on all adapters. Likewise, if you're using network lock, have you tried restoring the windows firewall to default settings, if the above didn't work? How about checking that your TAP drivers are okay, if you're using Windows (there's a stickied thread in the troubleshooting forum). Or just simply tried switching to different servers? :] Especially ones outside the country whose servers are giving you problems. There's also the checking that your AirVPN client is 2.10.3 or newer - some users run with old clients for a long time. An update was released too. TheKingOfKevins 0 Posted ... SOLUITON So i managed to download another config file from a server that is not a Dutch server and there is internet access. Tested on my mac and iphone not yet on the freenas but i have a feeling that that one will work as well. So ive come to the conclusion that Dutch servers are having issues ATM. So ive come to the conclusion that Dutch servers are having issues ATM.I suppose I perhaps should've said something, since that much was obvious to me personally, due to all the posts about Dutch/German servers. My bad. Quote Hide LZ1's signature Hide all signatures Hi there, are you new to AirVPN? Many of your questions are already answered in this guide. You may also read the Eddie Android FAQ.
