Config Generator- Which Location

When using configuration generator, is there a recommendation for what location to choose?  I see a footnote recommended to choose by continent, how does this work, especially when using iOS.  I'm mainly concerned with performance.

Well you should choose the location you like, and one with good speeds which usually means close to your country. By continent it means if you click the United States, it'll put a DNS in the config and when it tries to connect it'll resolve to an IP address of one of the servers in the United States.

You have the option of:

 

• Picking individual servers
• Picking by region, which selects a bunch of servers automatically

I recommend picking the region you're in. So if you're in Asia, just click the box which says Asia and you'll get mainly Asian servers.

This will help you, since then your connection will likely be faster, since the servers are closer to you. This answers your performance

issue. Then after you've clicked the other settings, such as UDP 443, you simply download the files, which are .ovpn files. There's guides

on the forum too.
