Eddie GUI disappears in Win 7

Hi,

Frequently getting problem with Eddie client "disappearing" in Windows 7. Try to start a new instance and it says it's already running. Process hacker has no record of the GUI process running though. Wierdly connection is fine. So assume the client has become unattached from the actual connection I'm making ?  Anyway I can re attach ?

Same problem. Strange that staff has not responded.

 

To workaround, <CTRL> <ALT> <Delete> -->  Start Task Manager --> Click on Processes tab --> highlight and end process for airvpn.exe and openvpn.exe Close Task Manager and re-launch eddie.

Normally you get the "still running" error, if the process called openvpn.exe is still running, when you try to re-launch Eddie. So remember to quit both. It's especially important to quit Eddie via its own menus. However I think this issue has been addressed in the latest beta release 2.11.3, with an option called "single instance" or such. I can't say if the Staff have addressed the issue themselves or not, but they're often very quick to do so, if a large number of people are having the same issue; yet fringe cases, perhaps like yours, aren't always possible for the Air team to reproduce and so they might not have much input .

I noticed after changing windows theme the gui shows again.
