dewnil 1 Posted ... Hi,I have just started the 3 day trial to see if AirVPN works for me. At the moment there is a big problem with using uTorrent with AirVPN, which makes it kind of useless to me. I have followed the official guide - disabled port forwarding on the router, setting a remote forwarded port and using it in uTorrent. AirVPN works fine when I just use a browser. However, every time I start uTorrent, it downloads for about 5 seconds and then the VPN connection drops. It tries restarting, but always fails, so I can't even use browser after that, until I exit the AirVPN program and my normal net connection takes over. After that I have to uninstall the TAP driver to try again, but every time the same failure happens. Please help Relevant configuration:- Win 7 x64- Kaspersky Total Security installed- Freshly installed AirVPN ver. 2.10.3What I've tried so far:- Using different protocols (Auto, TCP 443, UDP 443)- Disabling UPnP and NAT in uTorrent- Using a remote forwarded port from airvpn website in uTorrent Last part of the log, before I cancelled the soon to be failed authorization attempt. Staff 9972 Posted ... Hello! Please check the Kaspersky settings about UDP. During the last years we have met hundreds of cases in which Kaspersky thought that the UDP flow was an UDP flood attack. As a reaction it starts dropping packets and causes disconnections (when you connect to the VPN in UDP). Problem arises especially when you run a torrent client because the UDP flow rises up and the UDP/TCP ratio tends to infinite. Kind regards 1 nir94 reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Eddie 2.10 uses TAP 9.21 and for most people it causes a myriad of issues. Try a downgrade.First disable the automatic driver upgrade in advanced settings of Eddie. Uninstall the TAP driver in the device manager, removing the driver completely. Download the most recent TAP 9.9.2 installation package from OpenVPN's software update page.I linked you a thread of a similar issue solved by downgrading to 9.9. It also solved serious problems with my connection. qBittorrent doesn't kill my TAP driver and Windows does not freeze anymore. dewnil 1 Posted ... After some more reading I tried disabling uTP in uTorrent and that partially helped - this time uTorrent worked with the VPN connection for about 15 minutes before VPN died. Still not enough, obviously, but at least I finally have some progress. Eddie 2.10 uses TAP 9.21 and for most people it causes a myriad of issues. Please check the Kaspersky settings about UDP. Thanks, but since the problem occurs even when using TCP 443 or SSL connection protocols, Kaspersky UDP settings are unlikely to cause this problem.
