Network lock- Windows firewall is port blocking

Recommended Posts

While network lock is on and AirVPN setting are loaded into windows firewall the firewall is blocking port 3100. I can create an outbound rule to allow through but the rule, of course, is lost after deactivating network lock. I get this - 'An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions'

Anybody?? I can't use AirVPN (Eddie) with the network lock active....

That's one of the purposes of Network Lock. All incoming packets to the physical network interface are dropped. The services running on a system connected to a VPN server should respond only to packets on the tun interface, otherwise correlation attacks become possible.

Kind regards

It's in the client, not the web page.  You open the AirVPN program and it's an option right on the front screen of the client.

you want the firewall to block everything except traffic going through the VPN tunnel. If you want to use port 3100 then setup port forwarding in airvpn to 3100
