3 antivirus at virustotal.com mention both windows clients (win7 and win8) contain malware

Hello,

Today I have taken a subscription for 1 month, hoping to extend it later to one year if everything works as I hope.

I have downloaded both versions of the Windows client (for win7 and for win10) and as I allways do with all software before installing, I submited the applications to the virustotal.com site.

 

Both versions get flagged by 3 of the 53 antivirus packages as containing malware.

These are the 3 negative results:

Any comments?

So, our software is free and open source, 50 antivirus say that the package is just fine, but since 3 of them claim a bunch of highly dangerous threats, you have doubts and need a comment?

Examine the actual names and you will notice something:

 

Backdoor.Generic.abmt

BehavestLike.Win32.Tool.wc

 

It's generic. It behaves like. Means, "I found something, but I don't know what it is". Heuristics in a nutshell.

We had this in the past, by the way.

Yeah I have never had a virus issues with any of the Windows Clients, I scanned them with Avast and Bit defender.. TWo virus scanners I trust, and they both came up fine.  I wouldn't worry about the 3 false positives, look at the remaining 50 clean scans.
