No internet after disconnect from AirVPN

Hi,

 

Everything works great when connected through the VPN. The problem is when I disconnect. I lose my internet connection. 

I'm on windows 10.

 

I have tried ipconfig /release

and the ipconfig /renew

 

But no luck. Any ideas??

This sometimes happens to me on Windows 8.1 and 7 so it should be similar in 10.

 

Open up Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network Connections and then right click on the adapter you use for the internet.

 

Scroll down to the TCP/IPv4 entry and right click it and select properties.  Sometimes the IP addresses for AirVPN do not reset after disconnecting so you may see numbers already filled in.

 

Select 'Obtain an IP address automatically' on top and 'Obtain DNS server automatically' down below.

 

You may need to disconnect and reconnect to your network after doing this if it still doesn't work, but it shouldn't be necessary.
