Impossible, ipleak.net does not even run Apache.

 

The web site was and is working just fine. You must have landed or be landing to somewhere else.

Indeed I connect to ::1, which is my local server.

 

I'm on Ubuntu. Using host ipleak.net returns

 

$ host ipleak.net
ipleak.net has address 54.164.36.190
ipleak.net has IPv6 address ::1

 

Firefox then seems to use the IPv6 address (which can only be local, because my firewall drops IPv6 traffic anyways) which resolves to my machine.

Is this a misconfiguration in your DNS records? Even google propagates the ::1.

Maybe. We'll check the AAAA record.

 

EDIT: yes. The problem has now been fixed. Within the TTL at the latest everything should be all right.

Great. It already propagated to the Google 8.8.8.8 DNS.
