Especially all lines starting with "OpenVPN Driver ..." and "Tunnel driver will be upgraded ...". Thank you! Kind regards 1 OmniNegro reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

Staff 9972 Posted ... New version 2.9.2. Re-download and re-install the experimental version. The newest version shows 2.9.2 in About. Changelog[bugfix] OpenVPN Driver Installation failure that occurs on Windows 8 and Windows 10[new] New advanced option Remove the default gateway route (Only Windows and Linux)About the new option, It removes the default route 0.0.0.0 when the VPN connection is established, and restores it at disconnection. If Eddie crashes or is killed [ungracefully], when relaunched it recovers automatically. Under Windows, if activated this option resolves the WebRTC leak. Please use with care, it's an experimental feature. 1 OmniNegro reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
rainmakerraw 94 Posted ... Just gone to Enter > Linux > RPM for Fedora 64 bit > experimental to grab v2.9.2. Tried to install the RPM and it says cannot install the software based on the openvpn service, version 2.8.0. Are the file versions correct on the server? It's impossible to tell from the filename because it's always the same. Thanks. EDIT: Never mind, all fixed now. 1 OmniNegro reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

Staff 9972 Posted ... @rainmakerraw Hello! There was a wrong 2.8 version inside the "2.9" RPM archive, we apologize for the issue. It has been fixed, please re-download.Anyway, dpkg (in general .deb installers) has no problems in packages re-installation even if the package is the same version of the one already installed, while rpm may refuse to re-install. This may be a problem for you when we release the final 2.9: if so, try with --force Kind regards 2 rainmakerraw and OmniNegro reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

What other VPN releases beta software and bugfixes in REAL TIME with customers? Absolutely awesome as always guys, keep it up because this kind of attitude is what keeps me paying you money! Thanks! News for our beta testers: a major step in Eddie development will be the support of ANY ovpn configuration, with automatic import of ovpn configuration files of our VPN service competitors. Some features depend on server-side software (DNS/Route checking and SSH/SSL tunnel for example), but major features (including Network Lock) will be available. We have planned this because our mission even focuses on helping people with FOSS software for privacy protection. Using our VPN service and servers is a sustainable method to allow us to work according to our mission. tranquivox69 27 Posted ... Still on Eddie 2.7 here but I have a couple of questions concerning this new update. The "Network Lock option for Private network", does it solve this problem: https://airvpn.org/topic/12229-network-lock-in-eddie-25-can-not-share-home-network-with-other-computers-when-enabled/ ? Also, as I mentioned in that thread, does the network lock feature save now the exceptions you agree to? It's kind of annoying having to confirm rules each and everytime one reboots... Thanks Edit: see here as well: https://airvpn.org/topic/14002-network-lock-and-sharing-local-folders-on-home-network/ Quote Share this post Link to post

rainmakerraw 94 Posted ... I had to look twice to see you'd added something there haha. I don't think they can release an Eddie for iOS because of Apple's tight lockdown of the OS, but I may be wrong as I know there is at least one basic OpenVPN app for iOS now. It certainly wouldn't be as fully featured as the 'real' Eddie from what little I know of Apple's ecosystem. 1 OmniNegro reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

dtsakirakis 5 Posted ... I have unchecked the box now for Network Lock but Windows Firewall cannot switch itself on on my PC as I have it set to disabled in Services. I had a problem a couple of years back when somehow Windows Firewall switched on by itself. Turned out that it was one of the monthly MS updates which had caused this to happen as I had only turned it off from the box on the services screen. To ensure that it cannot switch itself on again by accident you must go into properties and disable it from there, then it is off period. The green border only happened on my first visit online after updating to v2.9 X it has gone now. Is there an uncomplicated way to get the network lock feature to work with Comodo CIS?.I'm not speaking for Eddie (the Air client) directly, but I'm pretty sure once you give something administrator access it can enable services at will. With that in mind saying it definitely can't re-enable because you disabled the service is rather disingenous. As for Comodo, there's a full guide in the forum's how to section. Hope this helps, and I'm glad to hear your issue resolved itself. Is there also any instructions for Norton Security firewall to make it work with Network lock? Quote Share this post Link to post
