Hello,

 

I have a question(s). Whenever I connect to a server regardless of where it is in the world, I have to allow IP 169.254.255.255

 

through Peerblock. The service is slow to connect, but it does eventually connect if I do not allow. But I am not in the tunnel as my original ip address is advertised. 

 

Why do I have to connect through a US server, in order to connect overseas? And why is it a school district?

 

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Autoconfiguration" IP Addresses:

        169.254.0.0 - 169.254.255.255

Addresses in the range 169.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.255 are used automatically by most network devices when they are configured to use Internet Protocol, do not have a static IP Address assigned and are unable to obtain an IP address using DHCP. Please see also RFC-1918.
