C00Lzero 0 Posted ... Hello, I've tried to search this forum for an answer, but i haven't found one. so here is my problem. i'm using a netherland node (Dorsum) with pfsense. i've routet all my connections through the vpn, but google always detects that i'm from germany (and thus blocking e.g. youtube videos) what i've checked so far: routing-tables (everything will be routet through vpn)dnsleaktest: simple sniff: grc: erver Name: hosted-by.leaseweb.comServer Name: ec2-54-xxx-xxx-xx.compute-1.amazonaws.comServer Name: ec2-54-xxx-xxx-xxx.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com as i have read, the amazon-dns-server are okay, since they are the backup. but i don't know what to do now. all i can think about is chaning my node (though i would like to prevent this) Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 10014 Posted ... Hello, what happens if you set your browser language to English (it is currently set in German) and disable HTML5 geo-location (if it's enabled)? Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
C00Lzero 0 Posted ... thanks for your answer.i've changed the language and disabled html5 geo location.even after a cleaning of the browser (cookies, etc) and a reboot of my machine, it still redirects me to the german site. after chaing the VPN from Drost to Lyncis it now redirects me accordingly to nl. Strange behaviour. Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 10014 Posted ... Hello, according to your description it seems just a YouTube IP geo-location database error (inaccurate database, a common problem). Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
