gilesf 0 Posted ... Hi there. I'm trying to connect from Fedora 20 using the graphical network manager. I've created .ovpn config files but my understanding is that because they combine the certs and the config, the linux network manager doesn't work withem. My questions are, therefore:- is there a workaround- is it possible to extract the keys from the existing .ovpn file and thus present network manager with the individual files it requires. Note: I've managed to connect from the command line but I'd prefer to use the GUI plus remote forwarding doesn't seem to work. Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 9973 Posted ... Hello! You've probably missed the part in the instructions for Linux where it is explained how to achieve your purpose. In the Configuration Generator please tick "Advanced Mode" then tick "Separate certs/keys from .ovpn files". By default the Configuration Generator embeds .ovpn files with certificates and key. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
gilesf 0 Posted ... My apologies! I did actually click on advanced options but missed this particular option. Please could you advise, should I be using TLS or straight username and password for the actual VPN network connection? Thank you. Quote Share this post Link to post
