Anyone know how to Configure Teamviewer 8 with AirVpn

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I tried to channel Teamviewer 8 service to use my forwarded ports. For some reason it always changes them and uses its default ones whether it is the localhost or other IP(s). Staff suggested to put all this through the ports forwarded and not let Teamviewer 8 pick own port. Has any of you succeed to config and use Teamviewer 8 with AirVpn?

Regards,

Flex

Are you still looking for answers? I could invest some time into this.

Are you able to connect remotely to home network(or a computer/router from your home network connected to the VPN) from a friends house per se with Teamviewer/RDP into it ? I'm know looking into just RDP'ing into it and use the AirVPN encypted computer/connection. If you can offer a solution to either it would be most helpful and much appreciated.

Awaiting your reply,

Flex

You want to remotely connect to your home network in order to control your computer or to use the VPN connection of your computer? It's not that clear in your previous post.

Sshh calm down man. I didn't have any problems remote-controlling my LAN computer which is connected to AirVPN. I can't reproduce the problem here.

In general, TeamViewer will always work if surfing on the Internet is possible. Hence, no firewall configuration is required. As an alternative to port 80 HTTP, port 443 HTTPs is also being checked.

Port 5938 is also an option if you have content filtering , etc. However, there is no other configuration possible to enable such as other ports with the TeamViewer application.

Port 5938 is required for remote server1234x.teamview.com server(s).

The Vpn service is provided by TeamViewer and uses 7.8.0.1-7.8.255.255 (7.x.x.x) or so is believed. whereas AirVPN uses 10.4.0.1-10.9.255.255 usually.
