i've been using AirVPN for months with Windows 8.1 preview, and this morning I installed the final 8.1 and tried to installed the client, only to get a message "error installing TAP device driver", which is v9.9.2. I tried again "run as administrator" and then with UAC turned off. I got the error each time.

The login box come up and I try to connect but cannot.

Can you help please?

Update:

I solved this by installing the latest openVPN which apparently fixes some TAP errors. Now I seem to be back on AirVPN. Thanks.

Hello!

Thank you, we're glad to know that you managed to solve the problem.

For the readers: OpenVPN versions with installer older that I003 will NOT install properly on Windows 7 and Windows 8.x after 21-Aug-2013 due to a TUN/TAP driver certificate signature error. Windows 7/8 users must install OpenVPN 2.3.2 (or later) with installer I003 (or later). This version is the current latest OpenVPN available version, both on the official OpenVPN site and our package for Windows.

Kind regards
