2 DNS addresses showing on https://ipleak.net/ for same AirVPN server

Recommended Posts

I'll try to explain this the best that I can. When I go to https://ipleak.net/ recently some AirVPN servers are now showing 2 DNS addresses. They are both listed as originating from the same AirVPN source so it's not a DNS leak on my end. However, one is a normal IP while the other is a long string of numbers and letters. When I click on it for more details it says it's not an AirVPN node even though it's reporting that it's the same AirVPN provider as the regular IP address. Any ideas? The AirVPN server I'm connected to now doesn't have 2 DNS addresses, just the one. But a lot of the others I've tried do. They are originating out of Canada, I haven't tested the others. I have the network lock activated and it is working properly, but it's not showing my IP address anyway so it's not on my end. Also, if I go to https://www.dnsleaktest.com/ it only reports the one regular DNS address IP. I don't know if this is a problem with ipleak.net or what.

I can post a picture with the addresses edited out if you need a better idea of what I'm talking about.

yes, post a pic, the "long string of numbers and letters" sounds a little like an IPv6 address.

Okay, I attached a pic. I partially blocked out the addresses, no idea if that's even necessary for privacy, but you can see what I'm referring to.

After looking at it, the long address only says "Canada" so I guess it's not actually saying anything about it being related to Amanah Tech. Just says it's not an AirVPN node when I click on it, along with just a latitude and longitude which doesn't match.
