ANSWERED Eddie UI not showing up after starting program
Amadore posted a topic in Eddie - AirVPN Client
I have been using this program for years. No problems. Today I do my usual. I click the icon to start Eddie. It shows it loading, etc. But then....nothing. Nothing at all. I click in Task Manager and it shows the UI running, but It is nowhere. It is not in my "Hidden Icons" either. Nowhere. So, I went and checked the site and updated to most recent version. I start the program, and still nothing after it loads. No UI. Nothing. It is still running in Task Manager, but not showing up on my desktop. I recently disabled it showing up in Hidden Icons in the settings of Eddie. That was two weeks ago and has been working fine since. Could that be the issue? How do I get this to pop up now that I disabled it showing up in Hidden Icons? I fail to understand what is going on here. Nothing has changed on my PC either, no updates, etc. It worked just fine yesterday. Is there a way I can find the settings of Eddie file and re-enable it showing up in Hidden Icons? A pic to show that it is indeed running in Task Manager. I am on Win 10 64. Please help. UPDATE: I completely uninstalled Eddie and reinstalled. It works fine now. I am going to assume there is a problem with disabling "Show in Tray" and "Minimize to tray" because there was never a problem all these years until I recently disabled (unchecked) those. I personally don't like the program starting to tray because it doesn't pop up, you have to go to tray and click it for it to pop up. I also found this post (below). But, there was no way to click on the program in the tray because that option had been disabled. The only option for me was to uninstall. So, now I am stuck having the program go to hidden tray, which annoys me. -
On Android mobile: having configured a proxy for WIFI connection. then enabling Eddie for Android v.3.2.1 VPN with default settings. When running ipleak.net, I'd expect to see airVPN adresses, Instead I get addresses used by the proxy. Even setting VPN lock didn't change this. Is this a bug or how Eddie is supposed to work?
