[How-To] Jetico Personal Firewall - Block non-VPN traffic (Windows)

Recommended Posts

Hey,

this is my first guide and I'm not a native english speaker, so please let me know if you got problems with this guide.

So what we going to do is to set up a basic rule in the Jetico Personal Firewall to block all traffic, that is not covered by the VPN (according to the guide for Comodo Firewall).

First of all, open the main interface of Jetico Firewall.

To the left open the 'Block All' menu, select 'Network', right click somewhere and select 'New'->'IP Rule'

Check the 'Source Address' checkbox to the left, a new window opens, click on the '+' symbol.

Enter or copy the following range: 10.4.0.0-10.9.255.255

Now check the 'Inverted Match' at the bottom, so we're blocking all traffic that does NOT match this range (like in the guide for Comodo Firewall).

Click on 'OK', select 'Reject' in the 'Action' dropdown menu at the previous window (give it any name you want) and click on 'OK'.

That's it.

I've attached a screenshot of the rule.
