Hi - I am using the config options and my vpn connection isn't working. 2025-01-12 09:37:20 Note: --data-ciphers-fallback with cipher 'AES-256-CBC' disables data channel offload. 2025-01-12 09:37:20 OpenVPN 2.6.12 [git:makepkg/038a94bae57a446c+] x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] [DCO] built on Dec 31 2024 2025-01-12 09:37:20 library versions: OpenSSL 3.4.0 22 Oct 2024, LZO 2.10 2025-01-12 09:37:20 DCO version: N/A 2025-01-12 09:37:20 TCP/UDP: Preserving recently used remote address: [AF_INET]120.138.16.103:443 2025-01-12 09:37:20 Socket Buffers: R=[212992->212992] S=[212992->212992] 2025-01-12 09:37:20 UDPv4 link local: (not bound) 2025-01-12 09:37:20 UDPv4 link remote: [AF_INET]120.138.16.103:443 2025-01-12 09:38:21 TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity) 2025-01-12 09:38:21 TLS Error: TLS handshake failed 2025-01-12 09:38:21 SIGUSR1[soft,tls-error] received, process restarting From looking at the logs I cannot connect to the remote server. A ping to the remote server works:- ping -c5 120.138.16.103 64 bytes from 120.138.16.103: icmp_seq=1 ttl=51 time=32.8 ms 64 bytes from 120.138.16.103: icmp_seq=2 ttl=51 time=32.3 ms 64 bytes from 120.138.16.103: icmp_seq=3 ttl=51 time=36.2 ms 64 bytes from 120.138.16.103: icmp_seq=4 ttl=51 time=35.2 ms 64 bytes from 120.138.16.103: icmp_seq=5 ttl=51 time=32.8 ms When I connect to the port it fails though:- telnet 120.138.16.103:443 Server lookup failure: 120.138.16.103:443:telnet, Name or service not known So it's failing on the port connection. Does anyone have any suggestions ? ****** This is now working. I played around with a couple of things but I don't think I fixed it. Quote Share this post Link to post

The fact that it's saying "ip:port:telnet: Name or service not known" should be indicative of the fact that it's trying to connect to "120.138.16.103:443" on telnet default port 21., "120.138.16.103:443" not being a valid IP address, obviously. Please retry. 16 hours ago, steveo73 said: This is now working. I played around with a couple of things but I don't think I fixed it. The connect test is working? Or the VPN connection?
