ANSWERED pfsense connected to AIRVPN, but not going through AIRVPN

i'm running pfsense 2.7 and it shows that i'm connected to airvpn but when i check my ip address it's showing my actual ip address.  i'm having one of those days so i thought i'd reach out to the community to see if they can help.
please let me know if there's any other information required to help out.

so are you sending all of your traffic thru airvpn?

there's a lot missing here.  1) what VPN protocol?  2) did you follow a guide?  3) did you really follow the guide?  4) if you didn't follow a guide, do you know what you're doing?

create static mappings for the devices you want to use the vpn
firewall alias as well
then create firewall +nat rules to the correct gateway
