There are shortcomings about airvpn, personal experience.

Too many usa servers, too many busy servers. I choose America because netflix is the reason. too much load on new york server. Captcha is too much for me. A lot of things I want in Airvpn; In windows operating system, I wanted vpn partitioned tunnel! So that's my expectation.

Then AirVPN is not for you. Air's staff does have a few routing servers to get around basic geo-blocking and anti-VPN restrictions (scroll down to ROUTING https://airvpn.org/status/ ). However Netflix has been very tough even on VPNs that specifically try to enable Netflix through their servers. You didn't say if it worked or not, but I would be very surprised if it did.
