Need Help. Setup pfSense .5 with the guide - How do I stay protected by AirVPN?

Hello, I setup AirVPN with pfSense 2.5 with te=he most recent guide on https://nguvu.org/pfsense/pfsense-baseline-setup/#firewall rules

The problem is, I have internet access, but nothing is behind the VPN (airVPN).

How do I assign specific IP's to be behind the VPN, and or how can I make EVERYTHING in my LAN as an alternative, behind AirVPN?

that guide is extremely long and confusing

here is how I have accomplished this. with Pfsense and opnsese: 
1.  make alias for your devices and assign them a static internal IP
2.  under DHCP assign them static mappings
3. make sure you create rules with the Alias name and add them under NAT > outgoing to the airvpn interface
4.  make sure you create rules under firewall rules to the correct gateway you want the traffic routed too

I used that as a guide and it's long but they way things are done are pretty fail safe. Is it the best guide, no, but it pretty extensive.
