Tubular 1 Posted ... (edited) Hey, everybody... my first post here / subscriber for several years! Related to the thread created by@stramargio (https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/53332-proposal-meta-formerly-facebook-blocklist/), I propose to have Steven Black's ("anti-") Social hosts list added as an option. I did some cursory comparisons with a couple of the existing master lists in Clients/DNS (infinite thanks for those, by the way, Staff!), and I think this could fill some gaps for many users.https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts Thanks! OpenSourcerer 1438 Posted ... StevenBlack is already available. Besides, GoodbyeAds is another suggestion which includes it and more:You could do your tests with this. Tubular 1 Posted ... The lists available at AirVPN are great, but I'm talking about Black's Social list add-on, which blocks more than trackers and ads, as I understand it. I want to, for example, block any connection whatsoever to Facebook and Meta's various operations. And not only Meta/Facebook, of course: TikTok, too, for instance. I can, of course, just add my own blocks one at a time, though. Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1438 Posted ... These are addons. It does have its advantages to be able to choose them, but the current UI doesn't allow for a great overview of all of them. A downstream problem implementing this would be that you'd need to integrate all addons from other providers as well, and this is some work as the current overview must be rebuild to prevent cluttering.
