sonicshake 0 Posted ... Hi, Using latest version of Eddie (2.20) on a Mac M1 Pro with MacOS Monterey. Occasionally Eddie crashes, not sure why and don't really care because it's only every couple of days. However when I try to open Eddie again I get the "Unable obtain elevated privileges" error: In Terminal upon running /usr/bin/codesign -v --verify /Applications/Eddie.app/Contents/MacOS/Eddie the output is <feff> /Applications/Eddie.app/Contents/MacOS/Eddie: a sealed resource is missing or invalid file added: /Applications/Eddie.app/Contents/Resources/mono_crash.11b738480.0.json zsh: command not found: \ufeff I don't know exactly what this means, but it suggests that Eddie generated a crash report within the Application folder which renders the whole application unsigned, and because of that it's no longer able to gain elevated system privileges. If I delete the crash .json file Eddie fires up with no error, which strongly suggests it is problem. Is this workaround the only way to get the app back up and running after a crash, or is there another approach? e.g. can the crash files be made to save in a different user location? Clodo 177 Posted ... You are right, we wrote a topic here: https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/50336-eddie-macos-unable-to-start-client-not-allowed-remote-executable-not-signed/ It will be fixed in the next version, at the moment if it occurs manually delete crash report. Thanks for your feedback! Quote Share this post Link to post
