US Servers redirecting to Hong Kong domains

This past week any time I use a US server the browser keeps redirecting me to Hong Kong (HK) domains.

I go to Google and it takes me to https://www.google.hk with Chinese characters.

If I disable the VPN it goes back to normal (www.google.com).

Anyone else having this issue?
