AirVPN takes 30 minutes to connect

It takes 30 minutes to connect to a server, I turn on network lock, pick a server and connect, after about 15 seconds I get the connection, however the program itself is still saying "connecting" or "checking dns" or wahtever for 30+ minutes, and during that time I can't do anything in the program, if I try to exit the program I'll have to wait 30 minutes until it's connected and only then does it exit, if I close the tasks with taskmanager then my internet doesn't work until I restart, and during the 30 minutes it's connecting I also can't open torrent programs, like I click on utorrent and it just doesn't open, even though I can use the internet in my browser but many other things requiring internet don't work until 30 minutes later when it finally says connected, here is the log

Keep in mind that I opened the program at 00:16 but I didn't connect until 00:49, this has nothing to do with the program itself I just forgot to connect when I opened the program, from 00:49 on is when I started connecting to a server and it didn't finish until 01:22

During the last 10 minutes of connecting my computer also slows down quite a bit, this only ever happens when connecting on airvpn. 

I know my version of tap driver is quite old but the only reason I'm using it is because every time I tried using the newest version in the past, airvpn would work fine for about a minute after connecting and then go down to unusable speeds and only installing the older version of tap fixed it, earlier today I completely uninstalled tap/airvpn and everything related and then updated tap to the latest version and airvpn wouldn't even connect at all, not even after 30 minutes, I got some error but I didn't save the log, so even with the newest version of tap it still takes 30+ mins and then doesn't even connect
