AirVPN connection to internet via Mobile phone (Wifi Hotspot) not working

Recommended Posts

Whenever I try to connect my computer to the internet using my mobile phone (wifi hotspot), the AirVPN never successfully completes it's connection.  It just get's stuck at "Checking route IPV6" phase. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks.

Was able to "resolve" it by forcing ipv4 and disabling AirVPN DNS - but although I get connected, no traffic is coming through. So basically stuck. Any advice guys?

By pasting or uploading log output first.

AFAIK, neither Android nor iOS are assigning IPv6 addresses to hotspot clients. Maybe this circumstance is where the problems start.

To follow up on this: Android actually does! If configured to do so, but finding out whether they are you'd need the sources of the particular Android build you're using. That info is found in the device tree, for example LineageOS for Fairphone 3+.
