DNS queries blocked for libredns/radicaldns

Recommended Posts

My DNS provider, libredns, is getting "query throttled" answers from ipleak.net.

This causes libredns/radicaldns to stop resolving the ipleak.net address, for whoever it may concern.

IPLeak causes your browser to burst-resolve 100 FQDNs in the form xyz.ipleak.net, where xyz is a random 40-character alphanumeric string. This is done to detect as many DNS servers as possible without DNS cache interference, but the maximum number of detectable servers is obviously capped to 100. So your observation makes sense, but is no news here. Even seems like a logical reaction to such things from smaller DNS providers.
