larsvontrier 1 Posted ... I log into the eddie-ui and connect to a Netherlands server. There are far more Netherlands servers and they have the fastest speed rates. But when I check the IP address from a website - it shows my REAL IP address. This is a bit alarming because the eddie-ui is saying I'm logged in and connected to an Airvpn server. The servers for all other countries seems to be working fine. Can anyone please explain why the Nertherlands servers are not working? I've noticed just a few do work to change my IP address - but most don't. Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1445 Posted ... Nice of you to omit the names of the affected servers so we can check ourselves. When connected to a server which is seemingly not working, in Logs tab click the lifebelt icon and paste or upload the output here. I use a Linux OS with Firefox browser. 2. I have been to browserleaks.com and 'hardened' Firefox as best I can. 3. NoScript addon is active when I open the browser. 4. On Firefox - Preferences - Privacy & Security: the 'Cookies and Site Data' is always set to zero after connecting to a server. 5. The System Time on my OS is always changed to be the same as the normal time as the airvpn server. 6. I use 'time.is' and 'whatismybrowser.com' to check what my IP address is once I've connected to an airvpn server. These are the locations shown by the websites when I connect to Airvpn Netherlands servers: time.is whatismybrowser.com IP address from wahtismybrowser Alchiba my country my country 213.152.161.181 Aljanah my country ned Alphard my country ned Elnath my country ned Tarazed my country my country 213.152.161.133 Gianfar ned my country 213.152.161.101 Gienah ned my country 213.152.162.94 Muhlifain my country ned Zibal my country my country 213.152.161.149 Cygnus my country my country 213.152.161.244 Diphda my country my country 213.152.161.165 Larawag my country ned Alzirr my country ned Eltanin my country ned There are too many Netherlands servers to check - but you can see there is a problem Can you please give a screenshot of the 'lifebelt' icon in the Logs tab. I can't find it. I can access the 'Eddie - System Report' icon, if that's what you mean. Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1445 Posted ... Sorry, but let's invalidate all of that. Create a new Firefox profile (firefox -P) and check again with that default profile, maybe try only Cygnus, Gianfar and Larawag. We should exclude possible interference from addons and all that "hardening" you mentioned. Also try https://ipleak.net. 30 minutes ago, larsvontrier said: Can you please give a screenshot of the 'lifebelt' icon in the Logs tab. I can't find it. Maybe update Eddie as well, current stable is v2.18.9. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. USE TICKETS FOR PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT.
