whiskey_76 6 Posted ... Hello Fellow AIRVPN users! I always wondered what ports and protocols the majority of users use, and the reasoning behind them? Usually I stick with the default settings but sometimes if it seems slower than usual ill switch to SSL port 443. I was reading it helps prevent ISP's from realizing you are connected to a VPN somehow. Is this relatively true? Quote Share this post Link to post

Well, the default is UDP/443, that's what most would use. 18 hours ago, whiskey_76 said: I was reading it helps prevent ISP's from realizing you are connected to a VPN somehow. Is this relatively true? Not even relatively. From a technical point of view, that traffic might get away as standard HTTPS. One does not simply block or restrict HTTPS, that'd be inexcusable.
