Speed and IPv6 issues on Tomato

I am having a strange issue. I am capped around 25 Mbps on UDP and 35 on TCP no matter which server I use. Going from 256 bit AES to 128 bit does not increase throughput even slightly. Eddie is able to pull around 80 but is impractical for my setup. I would also like to know how to get IPv6 working, if possible. The tun interface gets an address but I am unsure how to route it. I am using a Netgear r8000 and the speed issue is killing me.

 

Update: this case is getting even stupider because I can turn the cipher off and not even gain a fraction of a megabit of speed.
