Eddie and low power CPU - Recommended settings for good performance.

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I am running Eddie on a Windows 10 x64 PC with a low power CPU (Pentium Silver J5005). I have some some more things running on the system and the CPU is struggling to manage the 100 Mbps of my fiber connection via Eddie.

I am looking for the minimal CPU effort VPN config (Ciphers TLS/Date) but keeping the connection secure.

Any other recommendations to reduce the CPU work or improve the performance?

Thanks!!

That CPU has AES-NI and can go up to 2.8ghz.  I don't think it's your CPU keeping your speed down.

Hi,

The problem it's that I am using Eddie on a virtual machine (W7 64x) on the J5005 PC. I have the problem in the VM.

Thanks!!

Can you please try a connection with vanilla OpenVPN? Just to exclude Eddie as the culprit as sometimes it is the culprit.
