After the last update of Win10 patches, Eddie will not start and gives "Cannot login, curl is required"

Where did curl go?  There is no such a file in the Airvpn folder

What is going on , does anybody know?

In my case Avast had decided curl.exe was dodgy and quarantined it. Had to create an exception.

In my case it was also Avast that found - after an upgrade of Windows 10 - that the curl.exe file was threatened by IDP.Generic. Avast locked it away to the virus chest.

Before I will make an exception I would like to know if IDP.Generic is a virus or not.

Could anybody tell me?

Howdy.

Curl is now built in window$ systems. It is a command line tool that allows you example to download files and perform other HTTP related tasks. It is false positive. But if you are paranoid you could upload it example virustotal.com and check it out. U found curl in this in folder i quess => C:\Windows\System32...

Yep, in my case , it was Avast that considered curl.exe a threat and moved it to the vault

I moved it back and made an exception in Avast settings page and now Eddie works as before.

Thanks
