Network Lock and unreliable power.

Hi Everyone,

 

I've been using AirVPN for a few days now, but as I've been learning more about the system its brought up a question about the network lock.

 

I've seen many comments about Eddie needing to be exited gracefully if the network lock is engaged in order to change some network settings "back", the potential problem I have is that our power grid is not particularly reliable. We suffer maybe one to two grid outages a year, which obviously kills power to the computer immediately.

 

My question is will that give me significant problems with Eddie and getting reconnected when I boot back into Windows?

 

I feel like this might finally tip me over the edge to go buy an IPS...

No problem. Windows network rules will recover. Lock will deactivate and reactivate when Eddie starts.

 

It is okay to shut down Windows with Lock activated. I usually disconnect first, then shutdown in Lock state. In case of power failure, shutdown while connected and locked would be okay.

Cool, makes sense that it would be resilient to such a thing, but I feel better for making sure!
