Reject Local Rule - Pfsense tutorial

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I followed the 2.3 tutorial for setting up airvpn on pfsense. The tunnel seems to be up but the local firewall is blocking LAN traffic. Having a closer look it seems that the Reject local is blocking the traffic.

When I change the Reject Local rule to Pass instead of Reject everything works. I'm either missing an allow rule or I haven't setup the Reject rule correctly. I can't find what I've done wrong.

Can anyone put me in the right direction?

thanks,

Is the port you are using defined in the LAN_SERVICES_PORTS alias, and is the ALLOW_LOCAL_SERVICES rule enabled and higher up the list than the block rule? If the port triggering the block rule is DNS (UDP53), make sure the DNS redirect rule is correct, enabled and higher in the list.
