Doubt about port forward before purchase

I do not have access to my modem and my router, so I cannot do port forward. My interest in the VPN service is to get around this problem. However, the application I need to use with portforward uses port 1802. I'm not sure if this service will help me since it seems that only ports above 2048 can be opened. So, my question: Is it possible for me to open port 1802 using AirVPN?

Yes, indirect. You can forward port xxxx to any local port you want.

Bravo for understanding that a VPN gets you past having to forward ports on the router.  Seeing that you have basic knowledge is refreshing.   When you forward a port via your client area on this web site you just need to input the local port you want, 1802.  However, you still may run into a problem unless the app you're using can instruct users that the external port is that which AirVPN assigns you, not 1802.
