Connecting to a PPTP/L2TP VPN inside AirVPN

I run AirVPN at router level on an Asus RT-AC51U.

 

Sometimes I am required to connect my work VPN which offers either PPTP or L2TP/IPsec. When I am running Air I cannot connect to the work VPN (either PPTP or L2TP), and get messages from Win10 regarding Generic Routing Encapsulation failure. Additionally I cannot connect to the work VPN through my Android device either.

 

However, if I disable AirVPN on the router, the PPTP/L2TP VPN functions with no issues. I have tried AirVPN set up with UDP and TCP with no success. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
