AirVPN GUI application won't start - WPF error

Hi,

 

I'm getting the following error when trying to launch the AirVPN application. Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

"Windows WPF, Start failed: Failed to Create packet filter interface. (0x8032001c)"

 

I have tried re-installing, but that didn't fix it. It was working properly, but then I started getting this error one day. It was around the time I ran some anti-spyware software, so maybe that deleted something?

Such software keeps logs. You should seek them out.

 

Try updating/reinstalling the .NET framework. Current version for Windows 7 for example should be 4.6.2.

 

If I'm not mixing up WFP (Windows Filtering Platform) and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) as wrote in the error message, a workaround could be to edit the AirVPN.xml file, replacing the value in "netlock.mode" with "none". Otherwise, update/reinstall the .NET framework.
