OpenSourcerer 1441 Posted ... You mix up keys and tokens, and by extent your OpenVPN connection and an API. You don't need either of those to make the other one work. The API key is used in apps for example to pull various stats from AirVPN about your account, your connection and/or servers in a way an external program can process it. The RSA key can be used to encrypt the Control Channel of an OpenVPN connection, i.e., messages exchanged between OpenVPN server and client, not the data itself (what you do within the tunnel).
