Network lock blocking LAN access

Recommended Posts

I am currently in the process of trying to transition away from windows for every day computer, leaving my windows box for a few select tasks like gaming, audio work, etc.

But I need to be able to access both machines obviously, to share files and such.    However Network Lock in eddie  seems to block LAN access even though I have specified the IP address of my windows box as allowed.

I'm not really sure how to troubleshoot this further.    I have a shared folder from my Windows box set to mount on bootup, and that works until AirVPN is started, then it'll just lock up Dolphin when I try to look at the mounted share.

I've had similar issues with windows - > windows networking too where Network lock would mess with LAN visibility and/or access.

Ultimately I decided to move to a COMODO firewall setup on Windows to deal with it, while retaining a "killswitch" I didn't have to worry about in the background.

Can I do something similar on Linux?    Would it be hard?

Eddie has an option to allow the local network in the settings.  You said you specified your windows box as allowed.  Where?  In the routes section?
