ANSWERED AirVPN no longer working - Ubuntu

Hello all.  I have recently made the jump to Ubuntu.  I have tinkered with Linux in the past, but nothing serious.

 

I installed AirVPN last night, connected and surfed successfully.  I also locked down all traffic outside of the VPN.  I then signed off the VPN, kept the lock in place, closed the laptop and went to bed. 

I just now turned on the laptop and couldn't get the VPN software to open, the icon appears in the active programs tray on the left then disappears.  I also have zero internet traffic, even in terminal.  I uninstalled the VPN and nothing.  Reinstalled it via a USB stick and nothing is different.

 

How do I manually turn off the block I imposed via terminal and get the VPN software to open up again?

Have you rebooted and then tried to run Eddie?  When it runs you'll be able to remove the iptables it's set in place for the network lock.

I have rebooted and nothing has changed.  I presume Eddie is synonymous with just running AirVPN correct?

Solved.

 

Not really sure why or how... I went into terminal and typed in 'sudo airvpn'

It opened the GUI and I was able to connect successfully.

glad it's working.  Yes, Eddie is the name of the client that AirVPN makes.
