Browsers think I'm in Canada or Brazil?

Why, when I always choose a server within the US, do browsers always serve me up web pages like I'm in Canada or Brazil?  If the server is in the US, shouldn't I look like I'm in the US?  Is there any way to make sure I choose a server that will appear to be in the US?

it's an error with whatever geolocation database the web sites are using.  just try a different server if it's too troublesome for you.
