pfSense and isolating to single NIC

Recommended Posts

So a few questions and bare with me as I'm still learning pfSense:

  1. Is there a performance or beneficial difference between setting up pfSense completely for AirVPN (following the guide on here) compared to just setting up the OVPN config?
  2. Can I isolate the VPN to NIC 2 (LAN) and use my IP on NIC 3 (WiFi router)?
  3. If yes on 2, would NIC 3 be able to interact with devices connected to NIC 2 locally?

I need NIC 3 to not have the VPN applied due to PSVue limitations (Smart TVs).

NIC 3 needs to be able to interact with devices on NIC 2 (SSH).

NIC 2 needs the VPN.

I'd assume this could be accomplished with NAT Portforwarding and Firewall Rules. But please enlighten me.
